4-H Horse Project

Each year, members of the Hillsborough County 4-H Program who are interested in participating in the 4-H Horse Project must complete a horse project packet. This packet includes a Member Agreement, Horse Qualification Form (to register their project horse), Horse Health Form, Horse Project Code of Conduct, and Lease Agreement (if not owned by member/parent). The horse that is registered is the horse that the 4-H member will participate with in 4-H horse shows and with their record book.

In addition, Hillsborough County 4-H horse project members must have completed the mandatory horse ethics course to be eligible for the Area E 4-H Horse Show in the spring. The Area E Horse Show gives members an opportunity to participate in a multi-county show and possibly earn the chance to compete in the State 4-H Horse Show and later the Southern Region 4-H Horse Show.
