Small Farms and
Alternative Enterprises

Our program focuses on the challenges and opportunities facing Hillsborough County small farms, and aims to educate the next generation of small farmers. Our agents provide science-based information, hands-on activities, and educational assistance to develop the skills and competencies needed to start in the agricultural industry. Serving both part-time and full-time farmers, our program consists of a wide range of activities that benefit small and backyard farms, such as field trips, demonstrations, workshops, and seminars.
